Hiv life insurance
Not too long ago people that were HIV positive were considered too high risk within the insurance industry. It was an absolute non negotiable point and if you were tested as HIV positive your chances for getting insurance or hiv life insurance were next to impossible. Fortunately, with time and dedicated research, many things are starting to change as people, especially within the medical world, are beginning to better understand and treat the virus.
HIV is no longer the death sentence that people once thought it was, many people are now able to live a relatively normal life with the correct treatment. During the nineteen eighties, when HIV and AIDS first became known to the general public, it caused significant alarm and panic among the world's populations as people were dying by the hundreds every day. It was considered a hopeless disease and if you were unlucky enough to contract it, in many cases, you were even considered a pariah.
Luckily today there have been many breakthroughs, not only in the actual treatment of HIV/AIDS but also in terms of social education, prevention and long term treatments such as anti retroviral drugs and so on. This in turn has had an effect on the way that life insurance companies now view both the virus and those living with it, even to the extent of HIV life insurance policy possibilities. Although it is worth noting here that not all life insurance companies have changed their policies or are willing to do so as yet.
